Sicur 08: The new Coolwork garments by Iturri protect against heat and transmit the feeling of coolness to the worker.

Sicur 08: This new type of fabrics is also characterised by its lightness, which makes its prolonged use more comfortable. Iturri have developed a new fabric model, the NX-HD 185, which will commercially be known as Coolwork, and which is characterised by the improvement in the comfort of the fireproof fabrics, without losing its high protection level against heat and flames.

The benefit level of the Coolwork garments, both from the protection point of view and particularly from the comfort point of view, is obtained using an exclusive manufacturing of the fabric and a special combination of high quality fibres, amongst which the following stand out: meta-aramide, para-aramide, non-metallic anti-static fibre and FR viscose.
Regarding the meta-aramide, the fabric is basically produced using intrinsically flame-resistant fibres, which is translated into garments that have no use limits after washing, since their fireproof properties are given by the molecular structure, not based on any treatment.
The para-aramide gives the fabric better mechanical properties. Additionally, it ensures that when faced by a flame it does not tear, in this way avoiding direct flame-skin contact. These improvements are obtained with just 5%.
The non-metallic anti-static fibres, although they only make up 3% of the fabric's composition, give the garments anti-static properties. The conducting substance of the electro-static charges is carbon.
Finally, the FR viscose in the fabric composition, given its construction, is completely on the inner side of the fabric. This FR viscose, as it is a cellulose fibre gives the fabric absorbent properties, that is to say, the capacity to quickly absorb the humidity generated by the user.
In this way, the garments that use the fabric NX-HD 185 or Coolwork manage to transmit to the worker a greater level of protection against heat, with an important feeling of coolness during working hours. The special construction of this fabric allows the garment's weight to be reduced and giving it maximum lightness, without its fireproof protection properties varying. The high level of perspiration, the permeability to the air, the quick absorption of perspiration, and the drying capacity aid the evacuation of the body heat, increasing the garment user's comfort. This comfort was one of the main concerns of the manufacturing companies, Iturri, which is why five aspects have been taken into account.
In the first place the lightness, since a light garment is always more comfortable to wear. In second place, the low resistance to water steam in order to encourage the evaporation of the user's perspiration. In third place, the low thermal resistance stands out, since a garment with low thermal resistance is a cool garment. In fourth place, it is highly permeable to the air, given that a high passing of the air contributes to the fact that the user has a feeling of freshness and it helps with its drying process. And finally, the absorption of the humidity and the quick drying.
