The exhibition at this edition will present the trends for the Autumn-Winter 2007/8 Season
The next edition of BISUTEX, which is due to take place between 13th and 17th September 2007, will boast a new location in Hall 7 at FERIA DE MADRID. This move is the result of the new layout that has been introduced at International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week as a whole, based on the incorporation of Halls 12 and 14, the new facilities with which IFEMA will be expanding its facilities this year.
Hall 7, which this year will be devoted entirely to the fashion jewellery and accessories exhibition, is located at the western end of the fairground and features the same characteristics as Hall 8, where BISUTEX has shared space with the related industries section at IBERJOYA up until now. The new setting has enabled the fair to increase its exhibition space, an essential requirement in view of the increasing number of applications to participate at the event at each edition. This growth has favored the participation of new exhibitors and boosted the profile that BISUTEX enjoys abroad, based on the incorporation of a large group of foreign companies. Specifically, at this edition, the foreign participation exceeds 10% of the total and features the direct participation of companies from Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, the United States, France, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
On this occasion, the fair will present the fashion and accessory collections for the Autumn-Winter 2007/2008 Season, based on the participation of more than 330 exhibiting companies from both Spain and abroad, including the leading manufacturers, importers, designers and various brands of considerable renown within the field of fashion. This comprehensive showcase will provide visiting professionals with an insight into the latest ideas under the headings of colour, form and materials, backed by the highest levels of business representation. In this respect, it is not surprising that BISUTEX has consolidated its role as the main point of reference for the industry in Spain and one of the most outstanding events on the European calendar for fashion jewellery fairs. This trade fair, organised by IFEMA, will once again exhibit the best products offered by its exhibitors, all of whom are linked to the world of fashion: fashion jewellery, sunglasses, belts, handkerchiefs, bags, watches, hats, adornments for the hair, etc., with both quality and design playing a prominent role. The extremely varied items on show at the fair are characterised by their considerable innovation and creativity, based on the latest international trends. At each edition, the exhibition attracts professionals from all five continents and, in general, professionals who have a high decision-making capacity.
Cutting-Edge, Asymmetrical and Rounded Items for Any Occasion
Within the context of the outstanding range of lines that the exhibitors at BISUTEX will be presenting at the fair's next edition, we will find an autumn packed with fashion jewellery items based on a cutting-edge appeal, featuring sophisticated asymmetrical and rounded shapes. These items will make fashion accessories an essential complement for any occasion. Another important trend at this edition will be to combine all kinds of materials, including the following: tin pieces plated with old silver; glass in all its different colours; resin; laces, silk ribbons and snakeskin-effect leather; and an extensive variety of pearls combined with medals.
Black will play a staring role this season, with almost all designers incorporating jet-black shades into their collections, along with the entire range of garnet, brown and striking lime and emerald shades. A brighter touch will be provided on this occasion by a variety of "champagne" shades, with tones even reaching a honey-like colour in some pieces.
These new trends will maintain their daring appeal in terms of size; large volumes and daring items aimed at personalising different styles. Rings, bracelets and pendants will be presented in sizes that sometimes border on exaggeration.
The latest and most chic trend is to possess a range of different watches depending on the style and colour of the clothes that are worn on any particular occasion. The watch thus becomes another item that can be changed and that can produce a new and distinct appeal, based on the infinite range of imaginative and colourful ideas offered by this important accessory. Here we will come across minimalist styles that employ glass, as well as sporty lines with large faces, not to mention watches that become veritable works of art through the use of precious stones such as sapphires and turquoises. Bags and small leather items will present the same extensive range of ideas aimed at enabling the wearer to create a highly personal style. In this respect, we will come across items ranging from extra-large bags to hand-held bags. Metallic-effect leather will play a prominent role, in dark and bronze shades, along with imitation leather, which will endow the season with a touch of sophistication. We will also find Baroque forms, both in exaggerated sizes and small models, in both cases featuring details such as chains in old gold and leather of highly-elaborate appeal, elements designed to enrich any item. Thus, we might highlight the predominant use of cow-hide in snake-skin, crocodile-skin, zebra and ostrich finishes. With regard to colour, within the extensive repertoire of ideas on show at BISUTEX, we might highlight, in addition to metallic shades, a series of very dark tones, such as brown, black, burgundy and the entire range of grey hues.
In the wardrobe, the clothing items that are destined to play a starring role this season will present a light and airy appeal with strongly-worked shoulders and extra-large cuffs. Both wide and tailored jackets will feature prominently, along with bodices, waistcoats and parkers.
The materials employed will create a romantic, Gothic and highly spiritual image. We can highlight the use of velvet and lace, in addition to plant fibres such as linen, hemp, bamboo and wool, always employed in lines of elegant design.
With regard to patterns and prints, flowers will triumph, along with leaves, stained glass designs, spots and architectural designs (arches, vaults, stained glass designs...) and jacquards. The shades will be mainly grey, green, golden shades, violet and blue. The style will be fresh, flowing and sensual; in short, pure glamour.
