News on the 6th SIAL Mercosur Exhibition
Within the framework of a meeting held among Marcelo Elizondo (ExportAr Foundation), José Garello (Argentine Chamber of Commerce), Juan Carlos Vasco Martinez (ASU – Spanish Acronym for United Supermarket Association), and Gustavo Cinosi (Latin American Exposium), the International Customers Meetings, Business Rounds, and Supermarketing Meetings to be held at the 6th SIAL Mercosur Exhibition were officially presented.
Gustavo Cinosi, President of Latin American Exposium, organizer of SIAL Mercosur, emphasized that for this 6th Edition, 550 Exhibitors from 12 countries have already enrolled; besides, about 24,000 participants from 40 countries are expected to take part, representing an 80% increase regarding the previous Edition. There will be about 1,500 business meetings and 18,000 sq. meters of fair-ground occupied for this Exhibition. There will also be an International sector where exhibitors from countries like the United States of America, France, Italy, Tunisia, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, and Venezuela will be present, and a National sector where exhibitors from the Provinces of Buenos Aires, Chubut, Salta, Neuquen, Cordoba, Entre Rios, Santa Fe, San Juan, and Catamarca will be present, too.
Good business relationships held between Latin American Exposium and ExportAr Foundation over the years, were emphasized at the above mentioned meeting.
Marcelo Elizondo, CEO of the ExportAr Foundation underlined their participation in SIAL Mercosur, through the International Customers Meetings. 1,000 local companies are annually connected with 150 foreign businessmen, so as to expose the best local offers to foreign importers. Most important, there will be a previously stated agenda for these International Customers Meetings. Thus, contact among customers and suppliers will be greatly favored.
Jose Garello, CEO of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce talked on Business Rounds. These intend to generate new business contacts. They are organized considering profiles and potentials of each one of the parties. These Business Rounds constitute an excellent opportunity for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) since they can access to new markets under very low cost
So Juan Carlos Vasco Martinez, CEO of ASU (United Supermarket Association) put emphasis on the importance of SMEs participating in the 4th Argentine Supermarketing Meetings. The Series of Conferences are fundamentally based on 3 main ideas:
·General Interest: A framework presented with scientific and economic precision as well as the panorama of Argentine General Economy. Dr. Ricardo Arriazu and Dr. Mario Blejer are among the speakers. ·Concrete Instruments: Related to technical and legal aspects. For example, among other subjects, the Fruit and Vegetables Protocol to be passed in the year 2010, will be discussed. ·Conjunctive Tissue: They offer a general panorama of technology and supermarketing. Alfredo Coto and Daniel Padin will be among the speakers.
