Extraordinary success leads to 6th edition on sep 8-10, 2007

With nearly 5,000 visitors in just two days (a 20% increase from the year before) and more than twice the number of exhibitors featured in 2005, the 5th Annual Miami International Wine Fair held November 11-12, 2006 surpassed its most ambitious expectations in its transition year from Downtown Miami to the Miami Beach Convention Center.

“We are extremely excited with the response received from the international wine trade community and South Florida’s wine aficionados”, said David Bernad, General Manager of the Wine Fair. “Based on the highest customer satisfaction and demand levels we have ever seen, we will be expanding our total exhibit space in 2007 to nearly 50,000 square feet,” added Bernad.
The 2006 edition of the Miami International Wine Fair featured a unique program of guided tastings and industry events, business-to-business meetings, a larger and more spectacular VIP section (also known as the Collectors’ Club), and South Florida’s 1st Annual Wine & Food Pairing Competition, a one-of-a-kind culinary challenge that brought together some of the region’s leading restaurants. Chef Alex Rubio and Sommelier Steve Stein of Mendoza Restaurant walked away with the top honors, including over $5,000 in prizes and the recognition of Miami’s top wine & food critics.
