Hostelco 2004
Organised by Fira de Barcelona in conjunction with FELAC, HOSTELCO is a showcase for the latest innovations in hostelry and collectivities equipment. The next edition will take place between the 21st and 25th October in Montjuïc.
Founded in 1981, this year’s edition will mark 25 years of the exhibition. Over the last quarter of a century, Hostelco has become the premier hostelry exhibition in Spain and the second most important in Europe. The exhibition’s exponential growth mirrors that of the sector which it represents. The next exhibition will mark its 25th anniversary, which will be celebrated through many different parallel activities.
Information from the last exhibition
Information from the last exhibition Hostelco 2004 closed its doors having exceeded the initial expectations of that 12th edition. Covering over 60,000 m² and with over 2,000 sector leading companies offering their services to the world of hostelry, restaurants and collectivities, the exhibition succeeded in bringing together more than 98,000 professional visitors and hence increased its international presence by 9% with respect to the 2002 edition.
Furthermore a wide ranging program made up of more than 70 different activities highlighted the increased interest in the latest and hottest news from the sector.
These figures, and also the participation of 109 countries, make the Hostelco exhibition the most important and most international convention in Spain and second most important in Europe.
The unanimous response from the sector to the 2004 edition consolidates Hostelco as the essential rendezvous for all professionals from hostelry, restaurants and collectivities sector.
The most experienced professionals visit Hostelco
One of the goals of the next edition will be to maintain and even improve the already high profile level of visitors compared to last year’s exhibition. Amongst the visitors, 35% were entrepreneurs, 11% CEOs and 6% Heads of purchasing. The visitors were not only characterised by their decision making power but also by their fidelity. 98.9% of those professionals visiting Hostelco 2004 declared that they would again visit in 2005.
In 2006 Hostelco will once again welcome the major European and international players in the represented industries. Once again, visiting the exhibition will give a unique opportunity to gain a global view of the sector and to make the round of all major innovations, new techniques and new services in the market.
