Horeq: Madrid and Tourism in the Web 2.0

The website is ready to be presented at Horeq, from Web 2.0 it will be possible to Madrid and share experiences with other users.

Another outstanding project is known as the Destination Based on Travel 2.0 Philosophy, an initiative that seeks to make Madrid's hotels the focal point of tourist activity within the capital based on the Web 2.0 philosophy.

With this Web portal, users can design their trip to the capital in order to suit their tastes and needs, discovering the opinions of other tourists and evaluating their trip at the end so that other users can learn about their experiences.

In addition to promoting the hotels themselves, this tool also serves as an important source of information regarding user behaviour: their tastes, the planning for their trip, their consumption, etc.

The hotel industry will also be able to view another initiative of considerable importance at the fair: RedHotech, a group created by the Hotel Technological Institute (ITH) and AETIC (The Association of Electronics and Information and Communications Technology Companies of Spain). The aim of this initiative is to promote all R&D and innovation activities that seek to foster the use of any type of technology within the industry. RedHotech will establish the technological and research priorities required to ensure the development of the hotel industry in the medium and long term, as well as coordinating investment and ensuring optimum investment profitability.
