EatinŽOut: International Food Service Convention in Madrid
Foodservice is a growing, atomized sector, undergoing continuous evolution, which makes it an excellent business opportunity for the entire supply chain.
In Spain, today, one-third of food consumption is produced outside of the home. Foodservice increased in 2006 by 4.3 %. The total market of the Foodservice channel is estimated to be 28,829 million Euros
In the United States, EATIN’OUT accounts for almost one half of its food consumption and it is a trend which is continuously on the rise. Other European countries show similar figures, for example: France 28 %, United Kingdom 40 %, Portugal 28 %, Denmark 27 % and Germany 28 %. This situation confirms the healthy status of these channels and the important opportunities which are being opened for the food and beverage industry.
The main goal of EATIN’ OUT is to foster the commercial growth and development of the food and beverage industry, within the field of food consumption outside of the home, and with special emphasis being placed on the internationalization and promotion of exports.
