The first exhibition on display consists of “Images of Erasmus” in the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, which is already open. The exhibition presents 150 master works from the 16th century depicting the most famous Dutchman of all time and his ideas. "Colours of the night” is the first exhibition dedicated to the works of Vincent Van Gogh which evoke the atmosphere of the evening and night and will take place from 13 February to 7 June 2009.

There are also numerous other exhibitions on Dutch themes organised by centres such as the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the Gemeentemuseum and the Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis in the Hague, the Catharijneconvent Museum and the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum and the Kunsthal in Rotterdam.
