Industry benefited by synergies of shoe fairs
New GDS 2007 dates ensure ultimate planning safety
With a view to optimising the international exhibition calender for both visitors and exhibitors alike, GDS in Düsseldorf has coordinated the sequence and duration of events for 2007 with MICAM in Milan. GDS – The Premier Shoe Event will be held together with GLS – International Event for Leather Goods & More from 9 to 11 March 2007 and from 14 to 16 September 2007. Three days later MICAM will follow GDS running from 15 to 18 March 2007 and from 20 to 23 September 2007.
Market analyses have shown that above all trade visitors from overseas highly appreciate the opportunity of seeing the different ranges on display at GDS and at MICAM on one single trip to Europe. The resulting synergies permit buyers to obtain the necessary overview of the market as a whole and of the individual collections in a concentrated and simplified manner allowing them to plan the next season ideally. In times of continued insecurity within the industry this ensures the highest degree of safety for trends and orders. In order to meet the international shoe sector’s need for assured planning even better, the scheduling of GDS dates will also take place in close coordination with MICAM in the future.
