12/11/2006 New “offbeat” Concept Area at Young Fashion

New “offbeat” Concept Area at Young Fashion

Music styles such as jazz, rock or reggae use offbeats in order to set melodic accents and to add a cool factor and some excitement to the rhythm of the songs.

The term “offbeat“ has now been added to the GDS dictionary, as well. It describes a new stand concept within the young, trendy segment in hall 13, developed especially for the Young Fashion exhibitors and their unconventional labels.
The concept stands are being offered as a full-package deal at a price of €249 per square metre (minimum size 20 m2) and offer the advantage of an uncomplicated trade fair participation with low time and cost exposure.
The modern, open-concept, low-walled (1.60 m) stand architecture with glass shelving systems, lowered crossbeams, floodlights and spotlights goes hand-in-hand with the label character of this segment. Young Fashion exhibitors may use brand walls and paintable system walls to individualise their stands, which also provides for a high level of brand recognition. The basic configuration may be designed to reflect different looks by including numerous extras such as additional furniture and different colour schemes.
The “offbeat“ segment represents a new concept stand area directly connected to the “Central“ scene bar, which acts as the communicative
hub of hall 13. Young Fashion talks with top-retailers and brand representatives inform visitors and exhibitors in detail on the potential of
Young Fashion in the specialised shoe retail business. A varied catering selection and a roomy lounge invite participants to hold their business talks in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Young Fashion segment is designed as a separate range of themes within GDS. Established global players and new, innovative trend labels present their brands with a comprehensive range of up-to-date street fashion. This area of GDS is among the most important attractions for international top-buyers looking for young, scene-focused collections.
Registrations have been received by labels such as Bronx, Buffalo,Converse, Fly London, H.I.S., Kangaroos, Kappa, Kickers, Mustang, New Rock, Skechers, Replay und Trend Design.
GDS/GLS - International Event for Shoes, Leather Goods & More is held at the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds from 09 to 11 March 2007.
