The Madrid International Furniture Exhibition will present the best image of the industry
The exhibiting companies will once again opt for creativity, diversity and product selection as the best means of gaining a competitive edge.
The fair will be promoted on the Spanish and international markets through a new promotional campaign.
Between11th and 16th April of next year the halls at FERIA DE MADRID will host the staging of the twenty-third edition of THE MADRID INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE EXHIBITION, one of the most representative trade events on the European fair circuit for the industry, where the leading Spanish manufacturers, importers and designers, along with a wide-ranging group of foreign companies, will present their latest new features and ideas under the headings of furniture and home decoration. The exhibiting companies' emphasis on promoting creativity, diversity and product selection place the Madrid International Furniture Exhibition at the forefront when it comes to innovation. The fair exhibition will reflect the highly competitive nature of the industry and its dynamic capacity to present, at each edition, a comprehensive range of styles and new designs and products, based on quality criteria and a marvellous integral presentation of decoration projects, featuring ideas that will no doubt set the trend over the coming months. Furthermore, the organisers of the fair have already set in motion an extensive promotional campaign, which will strengthen the measures aimed at attracting buyers from Spain. In this respect, a series of key communication channels have been established through the specialised press. As the fair approaches, this campaign will extend to the daily press, television and radio. Furthermore, the fair will send informative leaflets to specialised establishments, large stores and, in general, to all the fair's habitual visitors and all professional groups that are likely to boost activity levels within the sector. These groups include architects, surveyors, decorators, interior designers and other prescribing parties and opinion leaders. With regard to the international dimension of the event, the fair will continue its Foreign Buyers Programme. Over the last few years this programme has proven to be an extremely effective tool, providing a key form of support for those companies that are interested in opening up or pursuing new areas of business. At the last edition, the Programme invited some 320 professionals from 48 countries to the event. The total number of foreign buyers at the fair came to 2,466. This initiative is backed up by the work carried out by the IFEMA Delegations in Germany, the Benelux countries, Brazil, Egypt, the United States, France, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, England and Ireland, as well as the measures encompassed by the Foreign Trade Experts Programme in more than thirty different countries. With regard to the media, the fair will invite a selection of journalists from the leading foreign trade publications, thus ensuring wide news coverage of all the new features presented at each edition. The products and services on show at THE MADRID INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE EXHIBITION will be distributed throughout nine of the ten halls available at FERIA DE MADRID, presenting an exhibition area that measures more than 65,000 square metres. This extensive showcase will be divided into seven wide-ranging sections, thus enabling professionals to identify the product lines and styles that are of interest to them more easily. In this sense, Hall 1 will bring together the latest collections of home textiles presented by the leading companies within the segment at Club Textil ("Textile Club"); Hall 3 will bring together the most exclusive ideas in decoration in the area known as Alta Selección ("Top Selection"); Halls 5 and 7 will host the staging of the Fusión ("Fusion") area, devoted to cutting-edge ideas, style combinations and contemporary design; Hall 9 will present Interiores ("Interiors"), which will present decorative ideas based on the influence of other cultures and the booming sector of international decoration; in Hall 2, the exterior areas known as Jardín y Terraza ("Garden and Terrace") will focus on another part of the home where furniture and the search for new materials play a leading role; in Halls 4 and 6, the area known as Actual ("Today") will place the emphasis on the most commercial, mass consumer lines with an exhibition designed to suit all tastes in traditional styles, children's furniture and modern design; finally, Hall 8 will present Detalles ("Details"), a complete showcase of decorative items, including figures, porcelain, lamps, pictures, cushions, frames, etc., objects that make a significant contribution in terms of defining the character of the home. The Madrid International Furniture Exhibition, which this year will take place almost two weeks earlier than its traditional dates and has changed its customary days, now taking place between Wednesday and Monday, will be open from 10.00 a.m. through to 7.30 p.m. throughout the entire duration of the fair, except for the last day when the event will close at 6.00 p.m.
