Climatización 2005 welcomed 48,744 professionals and the results surpassed all expectactions
The number of independent visitors increased by 11,23%, with a special rise in international visitors (+17,10%) The fair improves its geographical scope and registers significant increases regarding the presence of professionals from the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Valencia and Andalusia The number of direct exhibitors grew by 9,24% reaching 662 and the international presence by 12,37%, registering a total of 109 foreign exhibitors
The International Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration Exhibition, CLIMATIZACION, staged its eleventh edition between 22nd and 26th February at Feria de Madrid with a remarkable success, both for the quality of its technical and exhibition offer as for the significant growth registered in all its parameters, especially in professional visitors, international presence and direct exhibitors.
A total of 48,744 professionals attended CLIMATIZACION 2005, which represents an increase of 11,23% with respect to the previous edition. Additionally, the attendance of foreign visitors surpassed this percentage, registering 17,10%, with the presence of 3,658 foreign visitors, from 78 countries. In the European Union, the countries which sent the largest numbers of visitors were Portugal, Italy, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
With respect to Spain, we must highlight the increased geographical scope of this edition which registered the presence of professionals form the Spanish Regions, with notable increases in the number of visitors from the Canary Islands, by 41.64%; Balearic Islands (26.37%); Catalonia (18.53%); Valencia (14.57%); and Andalusia (13.90%). It is precisely Andalusia, following Madrid, the Spanish Region which has features the greatest number of visitors in this edition, with 9.05% of the total figure.
The consolidation of the international position of CLIMATIZACION was strengthened by observing the development of the foreign exhibited offer, that grew by 12.37% (109 exhibitors), also surpassing the general growth of the fair, which was 9.24%. At CLIMATIZACION 2005, 662 Spanish and international companies participated as direct exhibitors, occupying a net exhibition area of 55,815.5 square metres.
TECHNICAL AND EXHIBITED OFFER
The excellent results obtained in this edition of CLIMATIZACION, are once again based on a wide and innovative exhibition and an exhaustive programme of technical conferences of great interest to all the professionals in the sector.
Thus, to the new features displayed by the majority of the exhibitors in presentations which are increasingly varied and interesting, we must add the attractive format of GALERÍA DE LA INNOVACIÓN, in which a rigourous selection of 14 products have stood out because of their incorporation of the latest technological innovations. Temperature control and air conditioning humidity systems, legionnaire´s disease prevention and telecontrol systems by Internet or mobile telephones will be displayed in an exclusive space within the fair.
This year, IFEMA has wanted to contribute economically with the hydrosanitary programme that the DNGO Engineering without Borders (EWB) is carrying out in the district of Kigoma, Tanzania by donating the total amount of the registration fees by the participating companies in the INNOVATION GALLERY, giving the event a charitable dimension.
For its part, FORO CLIMA, has gathered numerous conferences, debates and roundtables in the framework of CLIMATIZACION 2005. It has resulted in a stimulating and rigourous forum in which professionals have been able to update knowledge and make contributions on standardization and regulations; EC market; hygienization; energy efficiency; environment and sustained development; systems, equipment and technology; quality control and renewable energies. Simultaneously, the second Mediterranean Congress on Air-Conditioning CLIMAMED was staged.
CLIMATIZACION 2005 was inaugurated together with GENERA 2005, the International Energy and Environment Fair, which was once again staged simultaneously by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Housing, Javier Ramos. During four days visitors and exhibitors were able to participate once again in the excellent event for promoting business and establishing trade contacts, also consolidated its role as a forum for obtaining the latest trade information which is held every two years at FERIA DE MADRID.
