Ceramic tiles and bathroom furniture push back the horizons of wellness

Ceramic Springs Sorgenti Ceramiche is the title of an event organised by Ceramic Tiles of Italy for the 2006 edition of Cersaie, International exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings, to be held in the Bologna exhibition centre from 26 to 30 September this year.

The Services Centre, which has always been the place devoted to information, communication and image at Cersaie, will be entirely filled by this exhibition/event focusing on wellness and created by architects Dante Donegani and Giovanni Lauda.
The exhibition is inspired in particular by the evolution of the bathroom from an essential functional room to a complex space devoted to psychophysical well-being. This has encouraged the organisers to conduct aesthetic research based on the tactile and chromatic qualities of ceramic wall tiling and to promote an awareness of the value of the environment and respect for nature, concepts that are increasingly important in the choice of construction materials and design in contemporary architecture.
Visitors to Cersaie will have the opportunity to immerge themselves in an “oasis of wellness”, a sensorial experience based on extensive use of Italian ceramic tiles and bathroom furniture.
Ceramic Springs Sorgenti Ceramiche freely interprets wellness in a space devoted to well-being based on sounds, lights, colours, smells and tactile sensations. At the same time, it explores surfaces, shapes, dimensions, textures and colours as the new frontiers of ceramic tiles and bathroom furniture, crucial components of Cersaie’s identity.
At the customary Ceramic Tiles of Italy info desks, visitors will find the latest publications on the Italian ceramic tile industry, while the Cersaie calendar of events will include a special conference on the theme of wellness with talks given by acclaimed figures from the world of international architecture.
