Auto ID/RFID Solutions Park with CeBIT Forum Auto ID/RFID

The Auto ID/RFID display category was a big highlight of CeBIT 2006 - as evidenced by the impressive turnout of more than 100,000 trade visitors.

Auto ID/RFID will be examined in greater detail in Hall 6 at next year's CeBIT and there will be an innovative theme area in the shape of the inaugural "Auto ID/RFID Solutions Park".

This promises to give visitors a clear picture of implemented solutions, that is to say Auto ID/RFID they can "reach out and touch". The key focal points in themed areas include consumer goods, automotive (automobile manufacturing and supply industry), aviation (aerospace industry), the health sector, pharmaceuticals and container logistics.

This covers all aspects of the Auto ID world. In addition to RFID, the category will also examine complementary technologies such as the 2D barcode. The aim of the new exhibition concept is to look more closely at the areas in which Auto ID/RFID technologies are used.

The central focus of the Auto ID/RFID Solutions Park will be on applications. Exhibitors will show how their technologies, hardware, software and services can help to improve industrial processes. Visitors can look forward to finding out more about a number of practical issues including electronic product history, forgery protection for brand products, tracking of reusable packaging in the reseller sector, and asset management.

An integral part of the Auto ID/RFID Solution Park is the CeBIT Forum Auto ID/RFID. Following on from its successful premiere at CeBIT 2006, this features fascinating practical lectures and panel discussions that allow visitors to ask experts specific questions. Visitors have another chance to discuss issues relating to this topic in the pleasant surroundings of the Auto ID/RFID Lounge, another feature of the Solutions Park.
