Juanita Alvarez

Juanita Alvarez will be exhibiting in Bread and Butter, January 2008 and proposes us a special ability for jewelry.

Her  vocation taken as hobby lead her to study jewelry design at the European institute of design, in Rome, where  she acquired her interest for the materials, and projected a very versatile mix of textures, with those ones that work with the necklaces, made to her taste, even when it follows the fashion trends, it place a vanguards style.
This young creator will show us in Bread and Butter Barcelona 2008 its definition of “jewel” as synonym of art and unique pieces.

The metals and semi precious stones, silver, Swarosky´s crystals and the leather that reach to her hands converted in art pieces that will be assembling the idea of a new collection.
With a huge experience as background, her first challenge after the graduation was to work in the workshop of Renato Viva, in Vicenza –Italy.

Through her works there are precious metals such as gold, silver and copper, together with semiprecious stones, beads from all over the world, crystals, pearls, precious woods, leaves, feathers and also small fossils
There is a big expectation in Bread and Butter Barcelona 2008 for her new collections.
Juanita Alvarez has her own workshop and today her biggest desire is that the gold, the silver and the gems become of daily use and not only for special occasions.
