In April 1998, the Castellari Diffusion s.r.l firm was completely taken over by the owners of Pelletteria Portone s.r.l.

• The Castellari firm has operated in the leather-working market for more than 50 years, producing medium-high quality goods, among which calf, lamb, reptile (python), fur, etc...all made in Italy. Most of production is carried out with our own trademark, and exported all over the world : Japan, USA, U.K., France, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, Australia...
Every season we produce a new collection consisting of about 300-330 pieces divided in 25-30 different lines of bags and accessories, all produced with Italian high-level materials and exclusively Italian manufacture.
Our collections always keep abreast of the times, taking care of fashion and style but we do still produce classical models (Birkin, Kelly, etc…) on our customers’ constant request.
Our yearly production consists of about 60.000-70.000 pieces.
The firm area is situated in a village near Varese, about 40 km away from Milan, and very close to the Swiss border.
Furthermore, we have a showroom in Milan, close to the Fiera Milano City center, where we meet customers only on appointment.

• The Pelletteria Portone s.r.l. firm has operated on the leather-working market for more than 40 years, producing medium-high quality goods for very important and worldwide-known griffes as well as products that bear its own trademark. Our companies have a very practical and flexible production system and actually we can produce a different range of goods: suitcases, bags and accessories. Our machinery is up-to-date, constantly checked and in a greater quantity compared with our in-house production needs, and our manufacturers are highly specialized.
Our two companies, working together in a sole group, can offer to our customers quality, reliability, style and a fair relationship between quality and price.

The Brand

The Castellari brand was born at the beginning of the 50’s from Gianni Castellari, whose factory was in Milan.
In 1998 Franco and Mauro Portone bought the brand and founded the Castellari Diffusion srl, partly conserving the same clients of the past, and partly finding new customers and creating a new style.
The Castellari brand is known and sold worldwide, in the most prestigious department stores, boutiques, and catalogues. The principal targets for export are (in order of importance) Japan, USA, U.K, Switzerland, France, Germany, Spain, etc...
The Castellari brand is a sign of quality and style at the most competitive price, and at the best relation quality /price.
Castellari bags are known worldwide for their attention to the detail and their taste of hand-made product, always following the trends and anticipating the new streams of fashion in the field of ladies’ accessories. Castellari Diffusion uses for its products the best Italian materials and all the products are totally made in Italy.

Collection Summer 2008

The main characteristic of all Castellari Collections is the quality of materials and design.
Castellari is a brand that dates back to 1960 and has built its history thanks to the attention to meticulously chosen leathers and metal accessories that make our bags inimitable.
Particularly, this collection Summer 2008 brings a freshness air with its research for new materials and techniques: punched leathers are united to shiny fabric flashes that peep out from the most classical bags for a fantastic surprise.
Gold, silver and red meet together on metallic or quilted leathers together with the omnipresent white for a light sensation of happiness and tranquillity.
Castellari bags are luxurious bags for women and girls who want to distinguish themselves and possess an exclusive workmanship product that combines cutting-edge technology with tradition and craftsmanship.
And, last but not least, ALL is completely Made in Italy!

Our stand respects our image, being also comfortable and luxurious. It will be located just in fronto of a V.I.P. restaurant for Japanese visitors. The designer is Semprini allestimenti, a group of specialized architects that takes care of the correspondence between the stand and the collection, guided by our stylist Alberto Onesti.
