The story of Aurora begins more than half a century ago.

In 1947 Mr. Calamassi, Mr. Grassini and Mr. Verdiani, the fathers of the present owners, gave birth to Aurora as a manufacturing firm for iron furniture.

The introduction of the firm into the world of kitchen furniture dates back to the sixties. Soon afterwards, the production of bathroom cabinetry was started.

During the eighties a generational change took place, as the owners' sons joined the firm.

The year 1987 represents a turning point. In that year a strategic choice was made, that would prove crucial and decisive for the growth of the firm: the tiled kitchen was born. This innovation, addressed at the sanitary and tiling sectors, brought the firm to acquire new competences and adequate services for this business area.

The great success of this choice was extraordinarily immediate.

In 2001 Aurora begun to enlarge its distribution thanks to a new mark, "Cucina & Piatrelle" that gave birth to a series of shops, all exclusively specialized in the sale of tiled kitchen.

In 2004, with the "Eurocucina" exhibition in Milan, a new phase begins for Aurora: a different concept of the kitchen that sees it deeply linked and well integrated with the whole interior decoration of the house, is introduced.
This project is characterized by the introduction of "earth materials" like natural stones, volcanic lava, different kinds of earthenware.

Despite appearances, the solid and functional kitchens illustrated are the result of a time-tested series of modular elements.

Aurora has accompanied the typical kitchen components (base units, wall units, column units and appliances) with a family of tile-ready components designed for application of ceramic modules, creating the possibility of adding true architectural structures to kitchen furnishings.

All of this adds to the reliability of the product, which is guaranteed to retain its characteristics through time, eliminating the possibility of damage due to water infiltrations and facilitating maintenance.

AURORA guarantees the tiled components of our kitchens for six years from the date of delivery to the final user. Our warranty covers any damage caused by water infiltration or structural deformation.
