A. Pont I Cía., is a company that represents and distributes different wineries located in Barcelona capital city and province.

The company started it business in 1979 with the aim of trading `Spanish good Wines” by “electronic or standard mail”. The company’s business consolidated in 1982 as one of the pioneer companies providing customers with a range of wines, champagnes and liquors of different latitudes displayed in suitable and creative packaging and supported by an efficient delivery services for corporations willing to honor its clients or friends on Christmas or during the year.

At present, two of the most representative wineries are: Bodegas Corral (D.O.C. Rioja) centennial winery located at Rioja Alta region with widely recognized products such as Don Jacobo or one of the last releases Altos del Corral which managed to recover vineyards located in the high lands with less productive and wilder soils.

And Bodegas Rodero (D.O. Ribera del Duero) which started its production in 1990, and had its first wine elaboration in 1991 after 14 years of selling its grapes to the excellent Vega Sicilia. Bodagas Rodero is owned by a family which has been devoted to grape cultivation for the last four generations, thus obtain worldwide valued wines.

Recently and due to the evolution of the market, the company introduced Spanish gastronomy assortments like artisan cheese, jam, foies, canned food, chocolates which combine in a perfect manner with its wines within the aim of providing the customers with high quality products for Christmas season.

On the other hand, A.Pont I Cía., represents and distributes in different areas, a wide range of national and well-known wines and champagne like Grupo Codorniu, the peculiar wines of Hereus de Ribas at Consell (Palma de Malloraca), the ecological wines and champagne from Masia Freixe at Penedés, Riojas, Riberas, El Bierzo, Montsant …

However the company believes there are no borders for the wine market, thus introduced Australian wines in Spain in 1988 and is at present developing the introduction of the Argentine wine Catena Zapata in Spain, within the constant intention of providing its customers with a wide assortment of gourmet products by means of specialized stores, o via electronic mail and web promotions.
